With its bold crochet stripes and field of star motifs, the All American Afghan throw pays tribute to the American flag. What a spirited accent for your decor on patriotic days, or all through the year!
The afghan is crocheted using worsted weight yarn and a size J (6.00 mm) hook. The approximate finished size is 45" x 70" (114cm x 178cm).

- Great pattern!
-
My mentor at work was looking for an American Flag afghan for her husband. She had been looking at this photo when I came over to talk to her. When she found out that I crochet she showed it to me and asked me if I could make it for her. Quite by coincidence, I had this afghan at home, unfinished. I had lost the pattern for it. Thank goodness I was able to find the pattern online so that I could finish the afghan for her to give to her husband. She was thrilled to see it in person.

The flag afghan e-pattern is wonderfully simple. I received it last week and have it half finished. I will be giving it too a dear friend who so believes in the Buy American policy. I know she will love it.
Quality - Fast and easy

I love this afghan! I made one of them for one of my boys. It has a gender neutral appearence in my opinion. I did it in one week (but I dedicated quite a bit of time to it... I am going to make another one for my other son and then give them to the boys at the same time as gifts for their bunk beds. their room has an "American" theme. If you are looking for an attractive afghan that has an simple easy to follow pattern simple design and provides "impressive complicated looking results" sure to wow your friends then this is it... I my opinion a beginner could accomplish this easy a quickly with lovely results.
Quality - Looks Fun!

I haven't started it yet but I love all things Americana and flag oriented as we are a military family.
Quality - Beautiful Afghan to hard for me to read on the edging of the stars.
-
Was really easy until I got the instructions for the edging of the stars. I just wanted to pull my hair out. So instead I just made it up. Wasn't easy, but it still looks really good.
Quality - Easy and beautiful

I made this for my husband to use on his rack while underway. (He's in the Navy) He loves this blanket so much. Unfortunately, I think the salinity in the sea air ate at the yarn and it has started to degrade... Am now crocheting it again...but in a stronger yarn...lol
Quality - Very Easy and fun
