The Best of Kooler Design Studio

Cross Stitchers! You’ve been stitching projects from the Kooler Design Studio since they set up shop in 1985! Wow! During those years, many designers, photographer, editors, stylists, art directors, writers, and stitchers have contributed to the quality and success of the studio. Included in this diverse group are designers Linda Gillum, Barbara Baatz Hillman, Sandy Orton, and Nancy Rossi. These four women have developed hundreds of needlework and craft projects for Kooler over the years, and now selected designs for each of them are available to you all from one wonderful source—The Best of Kooler Design Studio: Cross Stitch Collections!

Take a peek at just a snip-it of what this book offers—

Linda Gillum

Linda was one of the founding members of Kooler with her projects featuring whimsical pets, charming samplers, and sunny floral designs!

Barbara Baatz Hillman

Barbara’s a completely self-taught artist who joined Kooler in 1991. She finds peace in nature and is inspired by its colors. These influences are reflected in her gorgeous floral designs.

Sandy Orton

Sandy brought her lifelong interest in traditional handiwork, crafts, and gardening to Kooler in 1993. Her interest in textiles and love of intricate embroidery show up in her designs, which often feature stitches and techniques from all periods of history.

Nancy Rossi

Nancy’s been a key member of Kooler since its founding in 1985. Her acute sense of color and composition make her an expert in still life and landscape designs and her understanding of light gives her work a sense of depth and realism.
