In addition to social distancing, wearing cloth face masks out in public has been recommended to help slow the spread of COVID-19. These quick and cute projects will bring you pride while they keep the people around you safe.
According to the CDC, masks should
fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
be secured with ties or ear loops
include multiple layers of fabric
allow for breathing without restriction
be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or change to shape
Our designers have been working on easy-to-make patterns for masks that fit the CDC recommendations. They are intended for your personal use, and won't take away from the supply of medical masks for healthcare workers. We are offering a free Tie-On Pleated Mask ePattern so you can outfit your family and/or friends.

With our new line of Stitchery Kits, you won't be disappointed! We've come up with modern and unique designs that will stand out like a sore thimble (in good way). Studies show that only 10 percent of crafters do one craft, so branch out with diamond dotting! By now, you all have seen our wonderful Diamond Art canvases floating around online and in craft stores near you. We've got a wide range of designs that go from simple cherry blossom branches, to full scale succulent gardens, and we love the feedback you guys have been giving us on every single kit. Hopefully you haven't just seen it in stores, but you've gone out and bought one to try for yourself! Since the new year just came about, you need to think about you and what makes you happy. This craft is perfect for mediation and self reflection, and has designs for every kind of maker.
Diamond Art is an extremely relaxing craft, one that you can work on at your own pace, and on your own time. It's often compared to another relaxing craft that's been around a lot longer: jigsaw puzzles! Diamond dotting is much better. Diamond Art is a more creative and dazzling alternative to the 'same old, same old' of jigsaw puzzles. Jigsaw puzzles have always proven to be a problem in the long run. If you lose a piece, your project is ruined, the hunt to find the pieces takes forever and a half, and the finished product doesn't preserve well. Diamond painting is a stress relieving craft, and yields a beautiful diamond encrusted canvas at the end of your craft experience.
You get to paint with 13-faceted diamonds on luxury fabric, and follow along an easy color-coded chart. The sky is the limit for the artwork you can diamond dot - create anything from beautiful landscapes like these Hot Air Balloons (above), to cute animal portraits! We promise that once you start diamond painting, you won't be able to stop.
We use a charting system that is color coded and easy to follow, as you can see above. This allows you to follow along and easily pick up where you left off, making this a craft with no time restrictions. You can finish it on your time, no stressful deadlines guaranteed! Every space on your chart is color coded and charted out with a specific number code. The effort of finding your area to dazzle is so small, you won't even realize that you've finished half of your canvas already!
The colors from the uncharted canvas are so close to the colors of the gems, that you don't really have to think about what you're diamond dotting. just pick a gem pack and dot away! It can be easily stored for later too, so you can pick it up again on a rainy day. Our gems may be tiny, but if kept well, they are super easy to keep track of. The best part is that we provide you with extra gems in your kits, just in case an accident happens!
Once you're done with your canvas, there are tons of options to show it off. Why stick with just a boring old picture frame, when you can have it on a pillow? Or, turn it into a wall hanging with extra craft accents like yarn! You can even use the extra beads, and put them on your shoes. There are endless possibilities for displaying your new artwork, unlike a puzzle, which I promise you, would not look good glued to a pair of Air Force Ones.
Start the new year off right with this relaxing craft that makes beautiful gifts for yourself and others. If you've done Diamond Art before, be sure to tag us @leisureartsinc, or use #leisurearts so we can see what's going on in your studio!
