This pattern book is well written with complete instructions for all levels of crocheters. The beginning pages explain the stitch terminology and hooks in depth so that a beginner can easily understand them and some one who has experience gets an idea of the stitches used within the patterns. I like the idea of illustrations to show the special stitches both in the beginning and in the pattern where they are used it makes it easier to understand what the instructions are asking you to do. Like all these pattern books I did come across a couple of mistakes in spelling and left out words but they were easy enough to figure out that it really does not detract much from the overall usefulness of the book. The afghans are all beautiful.
