Heidi Emmett

Heidi Emmett looks at her creative life with this thought, “Make it up, make it fun, and get it done!” Working with all things fabric since the age of 7, she has developed her talents as a fabric store owner, teacher, pattern designer, magazine project contributor, blogger, quilter, and now book author. “My goal in creating the art-to-wear designs for this book was a slimming and flattering look for everyone,” she says. “For the accessory pieces, they needed to be easy and fun to make.” At home in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Heidi and her husband have a grown son and two cats.
