Timeless
I made this for my sister's first child 30 years ago, and just made the same blanket for his first child. Timeless.

Rainbow Baby Afghan
I made this 30 years ago for my youngest daughter and looked all over for this pattern for my grandchildren. I even wrote to Leisure Arts asking about it.

Granny Ripple
I spotted this pattern online, but not as a baby blanket. It was done up as a queen size afghan, and the colors that were used caught my eye - I knew I had to hunt it down and get it for me. It was shown on You Tube, from there to Etsy, and when I emailed the person that made it, she led me to Leisure Arts. Now it's mine..

"The" Baby Afghan
Many years ago I found this pattern, fell in love with it, and after making it, I put it in my hope chest, planning to give to one of my nieces or nephews (who were children at the time) when they had a child. In 2006, I sent it to my niece/goddaughter when she gave birth to her first child...that little girl still loves her 'rainbow afghan'. I also made a set for my dear friend living in Texas when she had her first son...who is now expecting his own son with his wife. My girlfriends, evfen to this day, refer to this pattern as "THE" baby afghan...we all liked the pattern so much

Beautiful!
I have seen so many beautiful pinned photos and pictures on Facebook of blankets & sets made with this pattern I just had to purchase it. I have not made it yet, but it is definitely in my queue!

nostalgia
I made this pattern many years ago. I lost it and recently saw it again. A male friend of mine has it. It brought tears to my eyes as I made it over 30 years or so ago for my child. I was happy to see it is attainable. I guess because it was so challenging and I was able to make it successfully is what made it so special.

Best Buy I Ever Made for a Pattern!
I bought this pattern as a leaflet over 15 years ago. Every time I make one as a gift (I have made dozens) I always get "Can you make me one, maybe in green only..." you pick a color or texture and I have been asked for it, or thought of it on my own. EVERY one of them has been beautiful!

My original leaflet has gotten so tired I even made up my own table to help me keep track of the rounds and colors to preserve my original. I just listed which round, what colors and the number of stitches/round and check them off as I go. Major pattern saver!

Versatile Pattern
I have made so many of these baby blankets. Not one of them looked identical - sometimes I leave off the corner squares (those corners get in the way when wrapping up a baby), sometimes make up with just a solid color which emphasizes the design, any number of color schemes - but always a winner.

Best afghan ever
The 1st one I made was in Queen size for our bed in different textures of wool. I have since made it for sofas, college dorm rooms, and LOTS of babies. I have made over 200 in all yarns & textures & weights & colors!!! I think my favorite was the one I made last winter for our new grandson in the colors of his "sea world" rug & bedding!!! I have 2 copies of the book and guard them both. Enjoy!!!

Been Looking for this again for years!!!
I am so excited that after all these years I have finally found this pattern again (and it's downloadable). I originally purchased the book back in the 70's or 80's. I guess in one of my moves I somehow lost it. I've been looking for the pattern everywhere I go and on-line. Thanks so much for bringing it back. My youngest daughter is now pregnant and I wanted to make something special for her. Thanks again.

Everything old is new again!
I made this afghan when my kids were babies in the '70s and '80s and I made it again when my grandchildren came along. I can't believe it is for sale again and popular as ever!

Have "destroyed" two copies of this booklet
I have made many many afghans with this pattern over the decades. I have used not only baby yarn, but also worsted weight for grown ups (black dk.brown navy or dk.purple instead of white). Plus, the techniques I learned have been used on other projects as well. Love this!

Everybody loves this baby blanket!
Over many years, I have made this baby blanket for a number of expectant mothers. Everybody loves it and raves about it. A friend asked me for the pattern so I was able to give it to her because of your file. It moves quickly and looks great when finished. Thanks so much!
