Alice Nieh
Alice Nieh is a self-taught wire artist based in Potomac, Maryland. She discovered wire art while traveling to her native country, Taiwan. While trying to find unique souvenirs for her friends, she came across street vendors selling custom wire keychains and fell in love with the artwork. Later in life, she accepted a new job that came with her own office. Deciding on how to decorate the space, she remembered the wire artwork from the street vendors and decided to create her own pieces.
After creating a few pieces for her office, her coworkers, family, and friends noticed the artwork and expressed interest. She started creating her designs as gifts. Since her artwork became popular with the people in her life, she opened her Etsy store, WireAccents, creating original and customizable wire sculptures.
