DetailsThis is a great start for beginners! Afghan Stitch, also known as Tunisian Crochet, is a versatile technique that can be used to make afghans and many other projects. Easy to do, each specialized series of simple stitches produces a unique fabric, closely resembling that of knitting. Wonderful textures and patterns are created with cables, lacy stitches, raised and crossed stitches, and even "knit" and "purl" stitches. Tunisian crochet has been used for centuries to produce a material offering the intricacy of knit with the stability of crochet. The only implement required to work Tunisian crochet is an afghan hook - longer than a standard crochet hook and knobbed on one end. Using this simple tool and this leaflet, which contains 52 extraordinary Tunisian crochet stitches, anyone can create our beautiful heirloom sampler afghan or incorporate the stitches in numerous original projects.

- Great example of Tunisian versatile stitches!
I have been designing Tunisian afghans for years. When I first started, this was one of the first pattern books I purchased from a local craft store. Years later it is out of print. But I'm thrilled to see this available as a download. I highly recommend!!
