Description: Fisherman Crochet offers a challenge to those who have not tried it. However, you will find that the patterns are made up of stitches you already know, worked in different techniques to become unique patterns. The distinctive characteristic of Fisherman Crochet is the texture formed on the right side, leaving the wrong side with the appearance of solid single crochet. The Londonderry Afghan uses these pattern stitches: Fisherman Popcorn, Low Ridge Front, Popcorn Diamond, and Knurl. The Dublin Afghan uses High Ridge Front, Aran, Knurl, and Basketweave. The afghans are crocheted using worsted weight yarn and sizes I (5.50 mm) and J (6.00 mm) hooks.

- Beautiful Dublin Afghan Pattern
This pattern is "old" and was once Leaflet 250. I volunteer teach knit and crochet at the local Senior Citizens Center, and one of the ladies misplaced her pattern while making the Dublin afghan; I told her I'd try to locate the pattern. So the following week when we met, I gave her the pattern and she was absolutely thrilled.
