Cynthia Silveri

A landscape architect with a 30-year career of studying plants and designing with them, Cynthia Silveri is an artist at heart. “Having grown up and living in a rural environment, as well as drawing garden and park designs for so many years, it was a natural transition for me to creating coloring book illustrations of the countryside,” Cynthia said. Cynthia has been drawing since she took a 4H class when she was 9 years old and studied art before switching to landscape architecture. Creating illustrations for coloring allowed her to get back to her first love of art. She takes her drawing inspiration from her own garden, and the rural scenes of the Midwest. Cynthia says her beautiful illustrations are purposely composed scenes to illicit a sense of place, trigger memories, and the nostalgia of home. In addition to her artful endeavors Cynthia loves to cook comfort food, crochet, camp, and take care of her menagerie of chickens, goats, sheep and dogs, in Chelsea, Michigan.
