Ida Herter

Mother | Maker | Creative

Ida Herter is a stay-at-home mom who enjoys crocheting, embroidering, sewing, and more recently, knitting. The Maryland resident especially loves to crochet colorful toys with expressive features.“ They always spread a little joy to those who receive them,” she says. “I also enjoy making and designing hats and garments. When my hands need a break from the tight amigurumi stitches, I enjoy working with loose and lacy stitch patterns.”Ida learned the basics of crochet during childhood from her mother but didn’t really get hooked on it until she wanted to make a hat for her first baby.“ Everything I design, I make with my little ones in mind. I am happy to share my designs with fellow crafters so other children can enjoy them as well (and maybe even adults who are still kids at heart).”
