Nancy Marchant

Nancy Marchant, aka the Queen of Brioche, was born and raised in Indiana where her mother taught her to knit. After graduating with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Textile Art, she moved to Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
It was in Amsterdam that she discovered the brioche stitch. She wrote the first article about this stitch in 1992. Since then, Nancy has written articles and designed for top magazines, published 5 books on brioche knitting, and  traveled the world teaching the brioche love.
Thanks to Nancy, most of the top hand knitwear designers are now using the brioche stitch in their patterns.
