MATERIALS
Super Fine Weight Yarn
[3.5 ounces, 437 yards
(100 grams, 400 meters) per hank]:
1 hank
Straight knitting needles, size 2 (2.75 mm) or size needed for gauge
Cable needle
Tapestry needle

GAUGE: In K2, P2 ribbing (unstretched), 52 sts and 40 rows = 4" (10 cm)

STITCH GUIDE
Cables are achieved with a simple twisting, by exchanging the position of your stitches. The most common cables are formed by slipping part of the cable stitches “on-hold” onto a cable needle, then holding the stitches either in the “front” or in the “back” of your work. Stitches are worked from the left needle, then you work the “on-hold” stitches, either by working them directly from the cable needle or by slipping them back onto the left needle and working them.
CABLE 10 BACK (abbreviated C10B)
With yarn at the back of work, slip the next 5 sts purlwise onto the cable needle. Holding the cable needle at the back of the work, knit the next 5 sts on the left needle, then knit the 5 sts on the cable needle(Figs. 1a-d).

CABLE 10 FRONT (abbreviated C10F)
With yarn at the back of work, slip the next 5 sts purlwise onto the cable needle. Holding the cable needle at the front of the work, knit the next 5 sts on the left needle, then knit the 5 sts on the cable needle.
