Make this weekend a Comfy Afghan

Finished Size: 47" x 58"

MATERIALS

Worsted Weight Yarn: 44 ounces, (1,250 grams, 3,015 yards)

29" Circular knitting needles, size 17 (12.75 mm) or size needed for gauge

Note: Afghan is worked holding two strands of yarn together.

GAUGE: In Stockinette Stitch, 9 sts and 12 rows = 4"

AFGHAN

Cast on 107 sts.

Rows 1-12: Knit across.


Row 13 (Right side): Knit across.


Row 14: K 12, P3, (K5, P3) across to last 12 sts, K 12.


Row 15: K8, P4, K3, (P5, K3) across to last 12 sts, P4, K8.


Row 16: K 12, P3, (K5, P3) across to last 12 sts, K 12.


Row 17: Knit across.


Row 18: K8, P3, (K5, P3) across to last 8 sts, K8.


Row 19: K 11, P5, (K3, P5) across to last 11 sts, K 11.


Row 20: K8, P3, (K5, P3) across to last 8 sts, K8.


Repeat Rows 13-20 for pattern until Afghan measures approximately 55" from cast on edge, ending by working Row 16 or Row  20.


Last 12 Rows: Knit across.


Bind off all sts.
